A Good Value Draft Day Trade For Dorsey

Here is a Fair Value Trade that I could definately see happening on Draft Day.

While I am a Fan of Glenn Dorsey and I believe that he is an Ascending Player, he is also a little out of position in the 3-4. Do not read this as me thinking he cannot play in the 3-4, I believe he can and the Chiefs were obviously better with him in there. There just may be better suited players available in this draft and may be in reach with good value for Dorsey.

My Trade Scenario

Glenn Dorsey was hailed as one of the best if not the best 4-3 DT prospects in the last 10 years. Gunther Cunningham (and everyone else) was amazed that he was available at the 5th pick for the Chiefs two years ago. With a solid performance both years considering the surrounding talent, his value is diminished, but only slightly.

With that knowledge, If the Rams pass on Ndamukong Suh with the first pick. I could see the Chiefs trading Glenn Dorsey and their #5 pick for the Lions First (#2) and Second (#34) round pick. I gives the Lions a Great DT and another pick two spots later in the draft, where they could take Berry or a top LT. The Chiefs then Draft Suh to take Dorsey's place and with the Lions (or Chiefs) pick at the top of the second, take Terrence Cody from Alabama to complete a Solid Defensive Line.

I could also see this trade with the Lions swapping Second Round picks and throwing in a 3rd and a 5th to even out the values. There are many Pick Trade combinations that would work and provide fair value for both teams. Either way it is likely that Terrence Cody would still be available in the 2nd Round or they could take Cam Thomas from North Carolina as well.

To me this trade has alot of potential, as the Value is Good for both teams and multiple needs can be filled on both Franchises.
