Sunday Major League Baseball Picks
I returned to form yesterday picking 10 of the 15 games correctly. There has been too much to talk about in just one post so I will limit this to my winners and why I'm picking them. But I will say, 5 games into the season and there isn't a single team undefeated anymore.
Tigers over Indians - Whenever Justin Verlander is on the hill Detroit is going to be heavily favored to win.
Reds over Cubs - I think Gorzelanny is going to be out of a job by June, today is just another reason why.

10 Scorching MLB Takes 🌶️

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Marlins over Dodgers - LA is going to struggle this season if they don't fix their pitching staff quickly, Anibal Sanchez on the other hand is a bright spot among many young stars in Florida.
Mets over Nationals - Luckily for NY, Johan pitches every fifth game.
Orioles over Blue Jays - Marcum and Millwood were both tremendous in the opener, a pair of walk offs stopped them from getting their first win. I think Millwood takes this game.
Rays over Yankees - I hate picking my pitcher to win, but I also love picking AJ Burnett to lose - he is not worth $20 million.
Twins over White Sox - Buehrle is on the hump, but if I want Chicago to have a chance I have to pick Minnesota and plus, Chicago has not given me a reason to pick them this series
Phillies over Astros - Here's a question for you, will Roy Halladay lose this year?
Royals over Red Sox - I think Gil Meche is very underrated and the Royals are improved, but the real reason I'm picking them is Clay Buchholz is Mr. Inconsistent.
Rangers over Mariners - Ian Snell came alive against Oakland in his first start, but this isn't the coliseum, the Ball Park in Arlington should yield at least 3 homers today.
Rockies over Padres - Garland has always been one of those pitchers that wins 6-5 or 7-6, today he squares off against Ubaldo Jimenez in Colorado.
Angels over Athletics - Dallas Braden was very impressive against Seattle at home, now he gets Anaheim on the road.
Giants over Braves - Tim Lincecum > Kenshin Kawakami
D-Backs over Pirates - Pittsburgh sprayed Haren all over yesterday, for Jackson's sake he can't allow that two games in a row, plus, Zach Duke isn't pitching for the Pirates.
Cardinals over Brewers - Carpenter owned the Brewers last year and took a shut out into the 9th in his last game at Miller Park, a slow start to the season stays on that track in Milwaukee, but don't underestimate how hard it is to sweep this days.
My picks on the year: 42 - 31
