NBA Betting – ABC Double-Dip Features Heavy Hitters on Sunday

Walker DanielsApr 9, 2010

Online sportsbook players will have their hands full on Sunday afternoon as ABC will have an excellent doubleheader featuring four playoff teams. First, the top two teams in the Eastern Conference (and last year’s finalists) will square off as Orlando heads to Cleveland, while in the Western Conference, Portland tries to show that they’ll be a problem in the postseason when they travel to Los Angeles to battle the Lakers.

Magic vs Cavaliers odds – Sunday, April 11, 1:00 PM ET

The Cavaliers should be favored at home in this contest as the Magic has lost four of their last five in Cleveland, but it’ll be interesting to see how much the top players in this game will play as the Cavs and Magic have wrapped up the top two seeds in the East, and no one can catch either of them. The Cavaliers have won two of three against the Magic this season, and of course, LeBron James has led the way with 33.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.7 assists, while Vince Carter has countered with 18.0 points for the Magic, while Dwight Howard has added 17.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.33 blocks. James sat out the Cavaliers’ loss in Chicago on Thursday, while Antawn Jamison hurt his foot in that game, while the Magic are at full strength and said they would play their starters down the stretch. If that’s true, then you have to give the online sports betting edge to Orlando.

Trailblazers vs Lakers odds – Sunday, April 11, 3:30 PM ET

The Lakers should be the sportsbetting favorites at home in the Staples Center, where the Trailblazers have lost eight of their last nine trips. Overall, these two have split their last 10 games, including a split of two meetings this year, and both of those meetings came in Portland. The stars, Brandon Roy of Portland and Kobe Bryant of the Lakers, have played just one game each, but both scored 32 points. This is a game for the supporting cast to step up and show their worth, as Lamar Odom has put up 13.5 points, 17.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.5 steals for the Lakers, while LaMarcus Aldridge has averaged only 12.0 points for the Trailblazers. Aldridge has been playing well lately, and he’ll need to keep it up as the Lakers had dropped four of their last five ahead of Friday’s game in Minnesota, and they’re looking to get into a rhythm heading into the postseason. The Trailblazers are a good team, and they’re even surprisingly good on the road, but the Staples Center has been something of a haunted house for them in recent years, and that won’t change on Sunday. Take the Los Angeles Lakers in your sportsbook.Ā
