Five observations from Wednesday in sportsā¦
.Ā Ā Ā Now it gets interesting at Kentucky.Ā With 5 players leaving for the NBA Draft, weāll see if John Calipari will try and actually build a program with kids that stay for a while or will it be a revolving door of one and done players.
.Ā Ā Ā Ā Hereās an idea:Ā When a major pro sports league finds their officials missed a call, just keep quiet.Ā Unless youāre going to actually change the call and the outcome of the game, it does no one any good to come out a day later and say it was missed.Ā Itās better to just leave it alone than further exacerbate the situation.
.Ā Ā Ā Itāll be nice to see some new blood in the NBA playoffs as the Bobcats earned itsā first playoff berth as a franchise.Ā Now, weāll get to see if Michael Jordan has a foundation to really build the team and make it a playoff regular over the next few years.
.Ā Ā Ā The Ben Roethlisberger situation just wonāt go away.Ā If Iām the Steelers, I start making plans to, at the very least, start with the season without your starting QB.Ā Charlie Batch for Kickoff Weekend starter, anyone?
.Ā Ā Ā Itās been a good opening week of MLB so far.Ā Some really good performances and really good close ball games give me hope for a really entertaining summer.Ā I just hope they can keep the momentum going.
