With Big Three Back, Spurs Ready For Playoffs Action

Hajji KaaminoApr 7, 2010

The Sacramento Kings and a crowd of almost 12,000 were surprised yesterday in their loss to the Spurs, 95-86 at the ARCO arena; Tony Parker is back from hand injury after 4 weeks and 2 days. With second-year point guard George Hill already out with an ankle injury, Parker was forced to come back though he's already cleared to play.

In their win against the Kings, Parker just scored 8 points on 3 of 8 shooting and dished out 2 assists in nearly 17 minutes.

But his stats that game isn't the real story here. It's the team. The Spurs Big Three are back! With team captain Tim Duncan, Argentine Star Manu Ginobili, and 2007 NBA Finals MVP Tony Parker back in the lineup, the Spurs has now a better chance of winning the Larry O'Brien trophy.

In the past 21 games, the Spurs has won 16 of them, with current 4-game winning streak without Parker, with Ginobili carrying the team. Ginobili has been averaging 29.5 points per game, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in the whole month of March during Parker's absence.

Now that the Big Three are back, Ginobili won't have to shoulder the load alone anymore. With almost 5 games remaining for every team in the league, the Spurs might face Dallas, Utah, Denver or the Suns in the first round, while currently seeded 6th in the tight Western Conference.

Spurs fans shouldn't be worried by now if who among the West teams will the team face in the first round. They already have the ability to surpass any team with the big three back, and with the help of key reserves swing man Richard Jefferson who has been finally learning the team's system, DeJuan Blair fromย Pittsburgh, and the rest of the team.ย

The Spurs are very notable these past few weeks after beating elite teams such as Cleveland, Boston, Orlando, and the Lakers.

Now that the Playoffs is fast approaching, get ready and expect an action-packed first round series 'cause the Spurs are back and ready for another title run this year with their Big Three of Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili.ย
