2010 Masters Betting Odds - Tiger Woods Odds to Win Masters Tournament

PGA betting action heads to the hallowed grounds of Augusta National starting on Thursday, where a plethora of golfers will take aim at being crowned the 2010 Masters champion on Sunday afternoon. There are 18 golfers that will start out on Thursday that have already won at least one Green Jacket in their careers. Those winners date back to the 1970s and 1980s, as Raymond Floyd (1976), Tom Watson (1977 and 1981), Craig Stadler (1982), Larry Mize (1987), and Sandy Lyle (1988) are all expected to tee this tournament off.

Watson is one of six multiple Green Jacket winners that are playing in the Masters this season. Bernhard Langer (1985 & 1993), Ben Crenshaw (1984 & 1995), Jose Maria Olazabal (1994 & 1999), and Phil Mickelson (2004 & 2006) are amongst the others.

Last season’s winner Angel Cabrera isn’t considered amongst the favorites to take down the Masters again this year, but he’ll almost certainly be in the hunt after taking out Chad Campbell and Kenny Perry in the 2009 playoff that decided the tournament at Augusta.

Ernie Els is expected to compete hard for his first career Masters title as well this year. He has three majors to his credit in his career (1994 & 1997 US Open and the 2002 Open Championship), and he is clearly the hottest golfer on tour, as he has already recorded wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the WGC-CA Championship in 2010.

The one name that we have yet to mention is that of Tiger Woods, who is the other multiple time Masters winner. Tiger hasn’t been seen on a golf course since last year after his off the court issues with his wife and his sexual escapades. Woods remains the overwhelming favorite to win at Augusta National even though he hasn’t competed in nearly a half a year. Tiger has won the Masters in 1997, 2001, 2002, and 2005, amongst his 14 Major championships. He has already won here by a dozen strokes once before (’97), and he has finished no worse than 22nd with an average finish of sixth.
