Bellator XIII Featherweight Division Predictions
Bellator XIII has two featherweight bouts scheduled for April 8, 2010. In these matches, Eric Marriott will face Joe Warren, and Georgi Karakhanyan will face Bao Quach .
Under scrutiny, though, two of these fighters have win streaks that make them stand out in comparison to their respective opponents.
The first fighter holding distinction is Eric Marriot, who holds a record of 17-3-0. He currently holds a nine-fight win streak, most of his wins being by submission.

Marriott will be facing Joe Warren, a highly decorated world champion wrestler holding an MMA record of 2-1-0, Marriott being the one to hold considerably more experience.
The second fighter to watch out for is Georgi Karakhanyan. Karakhanyan holds a record of 12-1-1, and has won the last eight of his fights.
Karakhanyan will be facing Bao Quach, a striker, which will prove to be an interesting matchup for Karakhanyan since most of his fights have ended by submission.
If Marriott and Karakhanyan win their matches in Bellator XIII and happen to face each other in a semi-finals featherweight match, Bellator fans may see a huge battle on the ground.
But being that both these fighters are submission specialists, it would more than likely end up being a stand-up battle, which would be even more exciting.
Both Marriott and Karakhanyan have demonstrated knockout power in the past. As a result, a battle between these two fighters would offer fans a lot of fireworks.
If the fight went to the ground, it would hold a lot of scrambles and potentially quick submissions; if it stayed standing, chances are someone would get knocked out.
However, it may be too soon to jump to such conclusions. Warren is going to be a handful for anyone he faces, including Marriott. Warren is a "three-time world champion Greco-Roman wrestler and former NCAA All-American ."
Granted, Marriott has a lot of experience with submissions, he will probably want to keep it standing with Warren in order to try and take him out of his strongest phase of fighting.
Karakhanyan will also find a challenge in fighting Quach. Quach has 27 fights under his belt, 17 of which were wins.
Being that Quach specializes in strikes, Karakhanyan will more than likely try to bring the match to the ground. Such an outcome is no guarantee, though, as MMA is often times unpredictable.
Granted, Marriott and Karakhanyan should give the toughest competition in the featherweight division for Bellator XIII, fans will still see an exciting show since their respective opponents will provide a lot of difficulty one way or the other.
With such matches, the featherweight division holds its own even with the likes of Roger Huerta in the lightweight division. One thing is for certain—Bellator: Season 2 will start off with a bang.
