With Donovan McNabb Gone Kevin Kolb Is On
With Donovan gone the Eagles need new QB and this is a good opportunity for Kevin Kolb to shine.
Kevin already has shined once before when Donovan was injured. On September 20, 2009 Kevin played his first game that was a loss to the New Orleans Saints 48-22, but who could blame him, it was his first year against the soon to be Super Bowl winners. Even in that loss he threw 391 yards and 31 completions.Ā
The loss of this game simply showed hoe much fire power the Saints possessed. It really showed the age of our once great defense.

Perhaps this is the reason to trade away McNabb to the highest bidder. I really think every time Donovan steps on the field playing against us, he is really going to put a hurting on us, every chance he has.
The second round pick is much needed hopefully with that pick we could possible get a new defensive weapon, but at what price? We will be facing one of the greatest Eagles QB twice a year.
I do however have more hope in Kolb now more than ever. I knew the day coming, when McNabb wouldn't be taking the snaps under center for a while, I am still shell-shocked by the McNabb trade. Moving on.
Kevin will bring this team back into contention, his second game was a better indication of things to come. Kevin redeemed himself the next week against the Chiefs in a win of 34-14. That day he threw 327 yards and two touchdowns.
He was crowned NFC offensive player of the week, not to mention he was the first NFL player to throw over 300 yards in their first two games.
Career Stats of the three games he played:
Four touchdowns
Seven interceptions
79 completions out of 130 attempts (60.8 percent)
885 yards
6.81 yards per average
Five sacks
I believe that the right choice is to give Kevin Kolb a chance.
