How Can Arsenal Win over Barcelona

What are you thinking? Will I write something like yes, Arsenal can win over Barcelona if Messi breaks his leg? If Ibrahimovic catches a flu or a red card 10 minutes from the start? 

NAAH!!!

Barcelona is vulnerable with their two of the best defenders—Puyol and Pique—out for the next game and this is where their weakness lies. No matter how strong a giant is, it has one weakness, and if you can hit the bull's eye on the spot, well, you finish the giant and win the GAME!!!

What is the motto? Create waves of attack and make the opponents retreat.

Captain Fabregas is still down with injury and accompanying him is the Russian star Arshavin. But who scored the one with Birm City? Who mesmerized Barca's defense late in the game? Samir Nasri. I wonder why Wenger kept him on the bench for so long in that game.

Below I have given a small illustration of how the Gunners might play to cause the infinite number of attacks in the Barcelona penalty box.

While RVP is still a doubt, it is Bendtner who must use the opportunity at its maximum. Playing him up front with two supports from the left and right flanks will add to the advantage. Bendtner, though an average player in standards, is a good position maker and he should get passes from the two CAMs as given in the picture.

On the right flank, it should be Samir Nasri and Theo Walcott from the left front. While Nasri's immense energy and fine passing will help put Arsenal in attack mode, Theo's sprint can cut past the defenses and the moment can come hereby...one mistake, too much attention to guard Theo, and the benefits can be reaped by the fellow Gunners from other side.

Then comes the two midfielders behind the CAMs. Who will they be? Well, we do not have plenty of options running in our head or hands, so it is better that we stick to Rosicky and Denilson for the purpose. 

Denilson can have a dynamic presence in the midfield and can be used to bring in a lot of energy without-being-static which can control the game to a great extent. 

Rosicky is experienced and of good talent of course, though he has been unable to prove himself much presently, still you never know a player of his caliber can do what in the field. He will add necessary support to the attacking options of the Gunners.

Next comes Alex Song, the CDM of the Gunners. He is strong, tough, and playing rock solid now. What do you need more? Make him mark Xavi, and troubles come less in our defense. Cut the green wire, and the house is now dimly lit. Also, Song can often rise to the occasion of scoring when needed.

Whom are we having at the back? Whatever you say about Almunia, he made impressive saves in the last match (despite his silly mistakes) and you cannot think of Fabianski at this stage. Let Almunia stick to it.

While Gallas is out for the next clash, the immediate sub will be Sol Campbell, who will be accompanied by Vermaelen. The two side backs will be Clichy and Sagna, however, I would have preferred Traore to Clichy. Anyway, Clichy, as usual, has to block Messi and stick to him like a shadow. Do not defend against 11, just play with one for the 90 minutes. Play it hard!!!

And the most important advice is that all the defenders should not try to score a goal—beware of counter attacks.

At the end of the story, we have subs like Diaby, Eboue, and others. We have Arsene Wenger and his strategies. We know we are betting and riding against the next to impossible.

But the Gunners can fight with nothing to loose. They can prove the law of averages and at least make a draw (depends) to go to the next round. Go Gunners.
