Once Again, Arsenal Apparently Doomed...
For the past three seasons, Arsenal's title challenge had been written off before the season even kicked off. Perhaps it is common sense when you consider that during this time, fans and pundits had to comment on how Arsenal would cope after the sales of Vieira, Pires, Cole, Campbell, Henry, and the retirement of Bergkamp.
These players were the pivotal figures for all the success that Wenger had brought to the club.
All the successful teams built by Wenger had at least one or more of these players, and ever since they all left, the medals dried up, unless you call the Emirates Cup and Amsterdam Tournament something to behold.

The point is, Arsenal have been struggling since the departures of all these players, especially Vieira. I am not saying that the club would be winning if Vieira was still here, but it is a fact that the record for the past three seasons has just been difficult to accept for gooners.
Remember how Arsenal was written off last season when Henry packed his bags to Barca? Tottenham fans must had been having the best days of their lives when they were expecting a season of total failure for the gunners.
Yet, Arsenal bounced back and earned a respectable third place in the table after leading for most of the season.
This season, Arsenal are being written off yet again. This is due to Flamini's departure (not exactly Vieira, lets face it), added by Hleb and Adebayor looking set to join the shipping list (not exactly Pires and Henry either).
I just do not understand why Arsenal are written off already. To me, selling them would be good businesses, Hleb is good, but, to me, he is not what Arsenal needs since he just cannot score. If I had to choose I would prefer one who would at least shoot more than one with creativity and flair but lacking end product.
Adebayor is different, yes, I do think he has the potential to become the league's best striker, and a challenger for Henry's records even, but, if he is so temperamental and greedy as the newspapers are suggesting, he might as well leave now.
Henry scored like 100 goals before he was awarded a hefty contract, yet, Adebayor who had one good season is asking for 100K a week? Both Hleb and Adebayor had one good season, actually, pretty outstanding comparing to their performances in the past, but to turn their backs so quickly on the gaffer is a joke.
Selling these two players would actually improve the morale of the squad, since I feel having two unsettled players would disrupt the whole team.
Also, I feel that Nasri is a good enough player to not just replace, but actually to improve the Arsenal midfield after Hleb's departure. No he is not proven in the EPL, but he is 21, he is extremely talented, has guts, has technique, and, also, he is french, which at least reduces the chance of him stabbing Wenger in the back like Hleb and Ade did.
If Adebayor does leave, I think Wenger might (since I don't know how much faith he has on Bendtner), dive into the market for Ajax's ace Huntelaar, who is an extremely good finisher and very strong in the air.
If he does arrive, this will be the potential Arsenal line-ups for the coming season:
GK: Almunia
DEF: Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy
MID: Walcott/Nasri, Diaby, Fabregas, Rosicky/Nasri
ATT: Huntelaar, Robin van Persie
2nd XI
GK: Fabianski
DEF: Hoyte, Song, Djourou, Traore
MID: Walcott/Nasri, Denilson, Ramsey, Eduardo
ATT: Bendtner, Vela
To me, it is not a bad squad at all. Diaby is different from Flamini obviously, but he is good enough if he is given a chance to play CM, only that Fabregas will have to be more disciplined.
Do not write Arsenal off yet...
