11 Teams Attend ASU's Pro Day To Watch Armanti Edwards

Former Appalachian State University student Darin Gantt, of the Charlotte Observer, is reporting that the Carolina Panthers, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins, Detroit Lions, Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns attended Appalachian State University's pro day.

According to Gantt, Edwards ran two 40-yard dashes, and both of them were in the 4.4's, which is better than scouts expected. According to Steve Behr of the Watauga Democrat, Edwards has individual workouts scheduled with the Jaguars, Panthers, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots.

According to the Associated Press, Edwards 40 time was 4.43, which is very impressive considering his projected time was 4.5. Edwards worked out as a quarterback, receiver, and a punt returner as well.

RotoTimes.com thinks that Edwards could have factored into the Panthers releasing Jake Delhomme. I could not disagree more. Delhomme's time in NC had run out. Even if he stayed, Delhomme and Moore would have been the only quarterbacks on the Panthers roster.

Cornerback Cortez Gilbert also preformed in front of scouts. Gilbert has an outside chance of being signed as an undrafted free agent.
