In the 2010 NFL Draft, their is a 3-way tie for the best 3-4 rush OLB: Jerry Hughes, Sergio Kindle and Brandon Graham. Each one has their pros and cons, but all three have great potential. The question is: Who is the best?

Comparison 1-Size: Sergio Kindle is the tallest, listed on the team site as 6'4", but he is also the lightest, at 255 lbs. Brandon Graham is the shortest at 6'1" and the heaviest at 263 lbs. Jerry Hughes is in the middle at 6'3" and 257 lbs.

Winner: Push

Comparison 2- Pass Rush: Kindle is fast, but he can't get past linemen when blocked. Graham is strong, but lacks the needed explosion and speed. Hughes has great speed, and great set of pass rush moves.

 Winner: Hughes

Comparison 3- Run Support: Both Kindle and Hughes are good pass rushers but poor run supporters. Graham has great strength, and is great against the run.

Winner: Graham

Comparison 4- Stats: This is a combination of Combine numbers and career stats. Hughes has the top 40 time, 4.59 seconds. Graham has the top bench press with 31. Sergio Kindle has the most tackles, while Hughes has the most picks and fumbles forced.  Graham and Hughes are tied for total sacks. However, Hughes had the most sacks this season.

Winner: Hughes

Comparison 5-Opponents: Out of the three players, Kindle played in the Big 12, which is slightly better than Graham's Big 10. However, the big difference is that Jerry Hughes was in the weaker Mountain West Conference.

Winner: Kindle

Comparison 6- Leadership: Both Jerry Hughes and Brandon Graham are full of effort and great leaders. However, Kindle has some character issues. Kindle has had a DWI in 2007, and an his car into an apartment and fled.

Winner: Hughes and Graham

Comparison 7- Coverage Skills: Sergio Kindle is very fluid in coverage. Both Hughes and Graham are a little stiff in pass coverage. Kindle wins, despite that Hughes has more interceptions.

Winner: Kindle

Final Decision: Jerry Hughes.

Hughes plays with effort and leadership. He is a dominant pass rusher, and has great statistics. I predict that Hughes will go to the Jets in the first round(which is why I categorized this article under the Jets), Graham to the Falcons in the first round, and Kindle to the Chiefs in the Second round.
