Lewis: No Driver Has an Advantage

Billy SextonJul 1, 2008

Lewis Hamilton says that none of the top four drivers have a significant advantage just yet.

Despite being 10 points behind championship leader and Ferrari driver, Felipe Massa, Hamilton says that his current position is not a cause for concern.

"Last year's title fight was really close, and I think this year's is going to be closer. Kimi came from 26 points behind to take the title so I've nothing to worry about," Hamilton said.

Hamilton said that the math is pretty simple and he can make the 10 point gap up in one race if the cards fall the right way.

He also said that consistency is going to be very important and reckons he needs to get some of the rookie season consistency back if he is going to have a chance at winning the crown.

"I got to try out some promising new aero upgrades and some improvements to the fuel and lubricants."

Lewis reckons the MP4-23 will not be lagging behind Ferrari like it did in the French Grand Prix. "Ferrari will be strong, but not unbeatable."

Hamilton is targeting a home win on Sunday.
