"Pacman In Hell's Kitchen"

ChristopherJan 30, 2010

Manny Pacquiao, one of the top pugilists in boxing to ever step into the ring is under the most scrutiny now from people such as Paulie Malignaggi, Kermit Cintron, Golden Boy Promotions and everybody affiliated with them, and also many experts as well.  I am a die hard boxing and MMA fan.  I am Filipino and followed Pacman even before his destruction of Ledwaba.  Enough about me it is time to talk about a very touchy subject, and that is the discrimination and injustice that has been done to Manny Pacquiao.  As much as I love Manny Pacquiao there are questions that linger in my head about his credibility and strike suspicion, but I will talk about that later.

The amount of scrutiny about Pacquio is ridiculous.  There are many athletes who are complete beasts that are never questioned.  Georges St. Pierre, for instance, is a freakish monster in the UFC, who makes his Canadian fans go wild.  He has dominated his weight division for so long how come he has never been scrutinized as much as Pacquiao?  This man's cardio is ridiculous, one of the best in the world, and his strength is from another world.  He throws people around like rag dolls, just ask BJ Penn in their rematch.  I mean how come no one really questioned St. Pierre of using HGH or EPO's?  BJ Penn did suggest St. Pierre of using but the words did not carry weight and nobody really listened.  My answer is discrimination.  I cannot imagine anybody strongly accusing St. Pierre of using steroids, even I wouldn't, that would be ridiculous, I have seen the videos and can tell that this guy's work ethic and passion got him to where he is today just like pacquiao!

Enough with the discrimination now I would like to discuss the unjust judgements of Pacquiao.  I do not understand how Pacquiao is in Hell's kitchen and Antonio Margarito and Shane Mosley are just chillin?  Why is there any mercy for Sugar and the "Tijuana Tragedy"?  How can GBP give all these accusations when one of their own fighters was on the juice?  As for Margarito, that man should be put in jail, plaster of paris is like bringing a freakin knife into a fight, which is basically attempted murder.  What is this one year crap, that man is a fraud and I will never forgive him because he ruined Miguel Cotto's career.  Although I say this, this does not make Pacquio a cherry picker at all, I even thought Cotto would break Pac Man.  As much as I love Mosley, I am not going to listen to a hypocrite.  My prediction is that Floyd will squeak away by a boring decision.  As much as I hate PBF I love him for his abilities and his mastery in the ring.  TKO'ng Emanuel Augustus with his left hand, that is something amazing, only a true great can do.

Now, time to mention my suspicions about Pacman.  There are two shady people that hang around Pacquio, that is Bob Arum and wrestling superstar John Batista.  Bob Arum is a crook and from reading his history I just cannot trust this guy.  I mean two boxers of his using plaster of paris wraps something is just iffy about that.  He is a modern day Don King and it is no mystery why PBF ODLH left him.  Then again, Don King managed Mike Tyson that doesnt mean Iron Mike was on the juice just because he had one of the most despicable beings on the planet as a promoter.  Now for John Batista that man is a freaking beast and I would not be surprised if he was on the juice.  His name has been mentioned in drug scandals but that is just rumour and I cannot truly accuse him.  If he is I really hope that he did not offer anything to Pacman.  That's how bad habits start a friend has something that can enhance performance and offers it, just ask Victor Conte or Jorge Canseco.

At the end of the day I truly believe that Olympic style drug testing should be administered to athletes universally in the sports world.  I just find it really inconvenient that the speculation and accusation of Pacquiao has sparked an interest of having this type of protocol.  I wish there could be an aternative to random blood testing that seems less intrusive to an athlete's training.  Now mark my word, if hypothetically Pacquiao admitted of using a PED there would be absolutely give him no mercy.  People would immediately discredit his abilities and all the great achievements he made.  Majority of the people are fickle and bend where the wind blows, I mean look at Michael Jackson.  Even when he was proven innocent of all the claims people would not give the time of day to exonerate him like the courts did.  Anyways I believe Manny Pacquiao is clean!!!  This man came from the slums seling cigarettes under the fiery sun.  There is no shortcut in getting out of poverty and there is no easy way to become a "Greatest of All Time".  I love Pacquiao, but Sugar Ray Robinson will always be my #1 GOAT boxer.

This is Chris giving his 2cents for what its worth!
