Detroit Lions Early Mock Draft

Here in Lion Land it's never too early to start mocking the draft. I personally started after week 8 in 2008 when I fully realized how much talent the Detroit Lions are lacking, and I found myself watching College Football with a different purpose for the last two years. Detroit is in great position to come out of the 2010 draft with the same amount of talent as the 2009 draft which yielded five starters and a couple of possible Pro Bowl quality players. 

I'm no expert but this is what I would like to see the Detroit Lions do with their 2010 draft class. It's still so early so I will hardly take this as seriously as I will when all the evaluating has been done. I will attempt a few trades to keep it interesting. Also I will be adding alternate picks. Let's pray they pull off something astounding enough to leave the Millen Era turning in it's grave!

I'm going to stop here. I really hope the Lions do much more trading down than I showed here. The value of this draft is in the middle rounds with many solid prospects. The Lions need to pick up as many good players as they can get, so it would benefit them to pass on McCoy, assuming Suh goes to the Rams, and trade back a few times if possible and end up with 2(2nd rd picks) and 2(3rd rd picks) at least. Obviously there can be many arguments for the picks in the middle rounds that I picked and that's exactly my point. Let me know who you think is a valuable pick and where they should be drafted.
