Returning Home to the Cameron Crazies: Duke Blue Devils Win Again
There’s no place like home.
Especially if home is Cameron Indoor Stadium, as is the case for coach Mike Krzyzewski and his Duke Blue Devils.
Back in the comfy confines of Cameron on Coach K Court, Duke returned to ACC form with another big win—this time in a 70-56 victory over Florida State.

Kyle Busch's Cause of Death Released

Report: Knicks Watch Party Shut Down
“They made a big run, and they had some big rebounds and key plays,” Blue Devils senior Jon Scheyer told Duke’s official athletic site. “Everything’s not going to go our way, so when it doesn’t we just try and respond, and I thought we came out with a couple of big shots and we got some stops. Our team showed great resiliency there.”
Leading the way for Coach K’s troops were Scheyer (22 PTS, 5 AST, 4 REB) and juniors Kyle Singler (20 PTS, 7 REB) and Nolan Smith (11 PTS, 4 AST, 4 REB).
“I’m proud of my team,” Krzyzewski said. “I thought we showed great resolve tonight because Florida State is really good and they’re tough to score on. They’re huge and wide and they can move their feet, so the half-court is small.”
Up next for the Blue Devils is a non-conference matchup with Georgetown this weekend, with the game tipping off on Saturday afternoon on CBS.
“They’re very good,” Singler said. “Being away from home in a tough environment, it’s going to be a big game, and it’s a good measuring game to see where we are as a team.”
DUKE 60, CLEMSON 47
When it rains, it pours.
And for a while there at Clemson, it looked like the UNC blues may have soon been raining down on the Duke Blue Devils as well.
But Coach K and company made sure they wouldn’t follow the same downward spiral as their archrivals eight miles down the road.
Instead, Duke battled back and faced the adversity like champions, eventually walking away with a 60-47 victory on the road.
“I am proud of our men,” Krzyzewski told Duke’s official athletic site following the Blue Devils' victory over Clemson. “They played like men tonight because we played men.
“This was a game where points were difficult to come by, and I thought both defenses were outstanding. We just got a couple of breaks that made the difference. In a game like this there is not much to separate the winner and the loser. I think Clemson is a very good team and played their butts off tonight.”
