Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts: Jan. 27, '10

Ryan LesterJan 28, 2010

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.

J.J. Hickson, Cleveland Cavaliers

Hickson had 23 points and 8 rebounds last night. It was against the Wolves though, who have pretty weak interior defense. He has played decent lately with averages of 10.2 points and 7.8 rebounds in his last five games. Clearly he’s only a daily league option at this point.

Roy Hibbert, Indiana Pacers

He’s about the most maddening player right now with his inconsistency, but his 21 points against the Lakers was most impressive.

Craig Smith, Los Angeles Clippers

Smith had 18 points and 8 rebounds against the Nets. He’s averaging 14.8 points over his last four games, and is a decent option in daily leagues.

Keyon Dooling, New Jersey Nets

Dooling had 18 points and 8 assists last night. Last night very well could have been a mirage given his recent play.

Kris Humphries, New Jersey Nets

Humphries had 25 points and 8 rebounds. He’s averaging 14.8 points and 6.4 rebounds in his last five games. He’s also destroying Yi Jianlian’s fantasy value.

Charlie Bell, Milwaukee Bucks

Bell had 18 points last night, but hasn’t been productive enough to warrant fantasy consideration.

Taj Gibson, Chicago Bulls

Gibson was a beast pulling down 15 rebounds last night. He’s averaging 12 boards in his last three games.

George Hill, San Antonio Spurs

Hill had 16 points for the Spurs. He’s averaging 15 points in his last five games.

Kyle Korver, Utah Jazz

Korver had 16 points last night, but is far from a fantasy option.

Nicolas Batum, Portland Trail Blazers

Ditto.

Marcus Thornton, New Orleans Hornets

Marcus had 18 points last night. He’s averaging 14.2 over his last five games and is a good source of points in daily leagues.

C.J. Watson, Golden State Warriors

Watson had 23 points last night. Golden State is so erratic. You can try him in daily leagues, but it is a risk.
