This is a list of the hardest hitting Defensive Backs in the NFL.
Will your favorite player make the list? Well, you have to read to find out.
These are the guys on the field that make the crowd so OHHHHH!!! and AWWWWW and constantly have players picking there teeth off the turf.
BE SURE TO LEAVE COMMENTS LET ME KNOW WHO YOU THINK SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T HAVE MADE IT.
10. Benard Pollard, SS, Houston Texans
That would be that tough S>O>B taking on Stephen Jackson.
One of the heavy hitters in this league that not many people know about.
At just 25 years old, he hasn't even begun to reach his full potential. Pollard racked up 102 tackles with 2 sacks and 4 INTs in 2009.
9. Jermaine Phillips, SS, Tampa Bay Buccaners
Jermaine Phillips isn't a great cover guy but is a head hunter at SS.
This guy is a nightmare on the flats at 6'2, 230, he strikes fear into opposing receivers when he's healthy.
8. Roy Williams, SS, Cincinnati Bengals
Roy Williams: I really don't have to explain this guy's hitting power; I only have him so low on the list because he hasn't played for some time due to injuries.
These past two or three years, so I don't know if he's still got it, all I know is I wouldn't want to cross this guy's path and see the ball coming my way.
7. Antoine Winfield, CB, Minnesota Vikings
Antoine Winfield. This little guy packs a punch at the CB position standing at all of just 5'9.
As a Wide Receiver or Quarterback if you don't keep your head on a swivel this guy will eliminate you.
6. Bob Sanders, SS, Indianapolis Colts
Bob Sanders. Hes a short, compact, fast, ball of muscle. Hes hurt a lot because of his lack of size at just 5'8 but when healthy he makes his whole defense is better.
This former Defensive player and team Captain of the year is an assassin especially in the backfield.
5. Sheldon Brown, CB, Philadelphia Eagles
Sheldon Brown. This picture above was one of the biggest hits I've ever seen.
This hit, among others, help solidify his spot as on of the elite Body Rockers in this league.
4. Laron Landry, FS, Washington Redskins
Laron Landry. Not an elite cover guy but damn sure an elite striker.
Laron Landry or "Dirty 30" which is a nickname given to him for his fearsome hits, is a man child.
Yes, he got trucked by Brandon Jacobs. But really who hasn't?
3. Brian Dawkins, SS, Denver Broncos
Brian Dawkins. Has been one of the hardest hitters in this league and means the world to whatever defense he plays for a complete safety and even so late in his career is still a banger.
2. Troy Polamalu, SS, Pittsburgh Steelers
Troy Polamalu is probably is the biggest name at safety in the NFL, unfortunately not the biggest hitter, but second isn't bad.
He made the cover of Madden 2010 and is a complete game changer, always around the ball and always creating turnovers.
He's a tad bit injury prone but you would be too when you play as physically as he does.
1. Adrian Wilson, SS, Arizona Cardinals
Well, wer'e at No. 1...Adrian Wilson. This guy won the gene pool lottery; he is a BEAST. Doesn't make a huge amount of plays in coverage but a Terrifying tackler and play maker.
If it's forcing fumbles or teaching your quarterback how to run, this man is an enforcer and is finally getting the recognition he should with the Cardinals now being winners.
When you see that 24 in red and white, do your career a favor and duck!!!
