Tim Tebow: Sore Throat and a Major Hitch
This huge breaking news from the Tim Tebow Bowl, er, Senior Bowl practice session on Tuesday:
Former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, the apple of Urban Meyer's eye, has a hitch in his passing motion!
Wow.
Surely Sherlock Holmes must be schooling these reporters and scouts on how to dig really, really deep for previously unknown and shocking information.
That dreadful Tebow hitch has been unearthed.
We never saw this coming.
Kinda reminds you of the scene from the movie Mr. Baseball when the Japanese manager declared to Tom Selleck: "You have a hole in your swing."
College football's most famous hitch is now owned by Tebow.
A hitch and strep throat. Tebow checked in and was treated Monday night for strep throat but word is the doctors told him they could do nothing about the "hitch."
Here's a first hand account of Tebow's Tuesday practice performance from Russ Lande, draft expert for Sporting News Today:
"Florida quarterback Tim Tebow's footwork and mechanics were not as sharp Tuesday and the hitch in his windup showed up in all practice sessions. His delivery was slow and deliberate, though he showed good arm strength and the ability to throw tight spirals. His short accuracy was OK, but he struggled on deep balls. Though he completed them, receivers had to adjust to make tough catches."
Oh that darned hitch again.
Good arm strength and tight spirals, but oh that dreadful hitch.
It is now the most talked about hitch in America.
People get "hitched" and you can do a "hitch" in the military.
But now there's The Tebow Hitch.
It will be on display for all to see the next few days at Tebow Bowl, oops, Senior Bowl practices.
It will be on national display when the actual game is played on Saturday.
So we'll all look in curiosity and see how his Tebowness fares against all these other former college studs.
And the pro scouts can watch and see if their team might want to get "hitched" with Tebow.
