Nix, Gailey Face Tough Road

The Bills new GM and Coach, Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey face a long and tough

road ahead.  Over the last decade the Bills haven't made the playoffs and have only

had one winning season.  The goal: End that streak and bring the Bills back to

respectability. The NFL is a league where this can be accomplished in one season, look

at the Dolphins and Falcons, both where considered to be at the bottom of the barrel

teams, one off-season later they were both in the postseason.

The hard part for the Bills is they may not have the same resources that the

Dolphins and Falcons had.  Free agency is normally a big part in a teams rebuilding,

however unless a new CBA is reached the Bills will likely only have the draft to rebuild

with.  The good news is the draft is where you want to build and that's exactly what

buddy Nix said at the press conference.  

A team that the Bills can look to that has done this so successfully is now in the

Superbowl, the Colts.  The Colts rarely ever signed free agents and their entire core of

players were drafted by them.  The Bills fans are hoping Buddy Nix can put together

the right core of players through the draft that helps the Bills get back to

respectability.
