Edge Returning at the WWE Royal Rumble Seems Almost Certain

I've been asked by many people for months now about what I think regarding Edge's return. They've asked, Joe, will Edge return before or at Wrestlemania?

To each of them I have said for some time that I can't say for sure. However, what I've been hearing as of late tells me that Edge will be involved in some shape or form with the Royal Rumble.

While I was scouring the Internet, many reports said that Edge was healing faster than expected and that is good to hear. See, Edge has been out of action due to an Achilles tendon injury, which is not easy to come back from.

However, reports said in the beginning that the injury Edge suffered was not as bad as originally thought. And while it was still a serious injury, it could have been significantly worse, and he was lucky it wasn't.

Sources say that if Edge's injury was just a little bit lower, it could have made him miss a year or more.

Now, I don't know how much truth there is to that, but if true, Edge was very lucky.

In any case, sources of mine are saying that Edge has told friends that he will be in Georgia for the Royal Rumble. He now resides in North Carolina and for those of you who are not geography majors, NC is relatively close to GA.

The plane ride wouldn't be that long for Edge to take either, so the WWE is surely willing to fly him out on their tab.

Edge wants to come back as well, and because the WWE also wants him back as soon as possible, it is believed that he will be on tap for the show.

There are a few spots open for the Royal Rumble match, and while they could easily be filled by anyone on the WWE roster, Edge could easily be one of them.

I believe that as of now, about two or three spots are unannounced. Now, there is not a list of who will come out when, just who is in it.

There is a rumor that they would bring in some legends to work in the match for a bit, but also RVD's name has been thrown out. And Bryan Danielson's name has also been rumored.

It has been said that it's certain Edge will be back really soon, if not at the Rumble, then on RAW one night while Chris Jericho is there. They'd eventually take the feud to SmackDown, where both are roster members.

The WWE would want to bring Edge back at a live show of course, so his return will be at either The Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber (formally No Way Out) or an episode of RAW.

Because the WWE wants to start a storyline with Jericho and Edge quickly, it would make a lot of sense to bring Edge back at the Royal Rumble.

Because he is said to be attending the PPV anyway, having him in the Royal Rumble match would only make sense. He is perfectly fine to return to in ring action, as it is said that he has been cleared by doctors to return as well.

Also, here's another piece of news to know about Edge. He is also on the cover of the 2010 Royal Rumble DVD for Netflix.com in a Sweeney Todd get-up. You can see it here.

This could be another sign that Edge will be involved with the show.

So for those of you who wanted to know about Edge, this is all I know so far, people. Hope my info helped answer some of your questions.

I'm actually going to be bringing back something called the B/R Mailbag. I did this before, but I ended it after a little while to pursue other things.

If there is something you want to know about, message me or leave a comment on this article letting me know the question you have.

I'll answer as many as I can in an article and will reply to some of the others throughout the series. Because this is a series, not all the questions you ask will be seen in one article. The only rule is that it has to be a pro-wrestling question.
