Kicking and Winning...

Abdul WaqasJan 22, 2010

Hello fans, Welcome back. My last article was on Arsenal's game against Bolton which Arsenal won 4-2 in a great way. Going down 2-0, and coming back as 4-2, that is somewhere we can say an amazing team. Winding the clock a year back, i remember when Arsenal faced Bolton in the same fashion. Going down from 2-0, they pounced back to a great win, bringing the result to 3-2 win. But today's topic, we let's say recent news flare all over, is Gallas' malicious attack on Mark Davies which, rather than being a foul, turned to be a goal by Fabregas.

Well let's just say right now that what Gallas did was not acceptable and should have been fouled but we can also say that it was unintentional. I mean, come on, it wasn't as if Gallas was a superhero, knowing the next few minutes which might happen. He didn't expected that if he fouls Davies and moves forward, there would be a goal. It was purely unintentional. This is football my friend, it happens every time.

Now talking about two points. One, its fair. Humans can make mistakes and Gallas and the referee did make a mistake. So what, move on. Second, the media takes the news in such high level, as if it was the first time things like this happened.

Gallas did a mistake, he wasn't sure of the attack. His intention was just to take the ball away from Davies. Now, if it went straight forward to the player's leg, well that is just luck. So, move on. If the referee did not blow his whistle, then this means it was the referee's decision. If he thought it was okay with the challenge, then accept it. Many a times, many players injure other players, but this doesn't mean that you foul him all the time. Maybe the referee did not thought it was a foul so just let it go.

Second, media. My God, come on. Just let it go. They made it such a issue as if Gallas killed the player! It was a mistake, both the managers accepted it. Even Owen Coyle said it was okay, so leave it. Don't push it forward! They always have to put their nose in everything. When Fabregas spitting thingy was going on, the media were hooked with it. It looked like as if they were with Fabregas all the time, pushing news from here to here. Leave them. They are players! Go after the movie stars and the politicians, leave these guys. A small news would be good enough about the players, but getting into their life things all the time is just unacceptable.

I don't have much to say, just that it always happens in football. This is the way people play football, injuries, fouls, goals, mistakes. It happens.

Adios my friends, and please Bolton fans, don't blame me for this thing. This thing is all over the news. Don't come over to my article and blame me for supporting my players, because I'm not supporting them, I'm just supporting football.
