Kurt Angle Quitting TNA After "Screwjob" Is Likely a Storyline
Last night's iMPACT broadcast saw a few interesting events unfold. Orlando Jordan made his successful debut against Pope, Styles turned full heel, and we relived the Montreal screwjob when Angle lost to AJ in a rematch for the World Title.
At the end of the match Angle had his ankle lock submission applied to AJ, who then reversed it into his own ankle lock. As soon as AJ had it locked in Earl Hebner rang the bell and fled the ring with AJ, declaring him the winner.
TNA showed Angle spit in Hogan's face and proceed to destroy the announcers set and damage the new stage.

Controversial Usyk TKO Win 🤔
Chances are this is all a work by TNA. It is obvious that these events parallel the Montreal screwjob with Bret Hart, HBK, and Vince McMahon right down to Angle spitting in Hogan's face the way Bret did to Vince.
Angle then broke some things near the ring in a rampage, just like Bret did in Montreal. Angle also claimed loudly that he didn't "need this s%&$" and would go back to WWE. Sounds similar to when Bret showed he was going to WCW by writing the letters in the air with his hand.
I don't blame TNA for trying this kind of storyline to combat Bret's WWE affiliation at the moment, but it comes too quickly after WWE tried another Montreal screwjob a few months back with Undertaker and CM Punk.
I am 100 percent positive that this is a work, as I do not believe these events could unfold this way again in almost the same exact fashion.
This storyline could come back to bite TNA in the ass in the end because fans don't want to see the same storylines rehashed in a way that makes it obvious they are reworking the events of that night in Montreal.
WWE has done a few "screwjobs" in the past, but TNA doing it in almost the same way it happened to Bret was an odd decision. Dixie Carter most likely had nothing to do with the storyline, but how can she let the company she has worked so hard to push forward use these kinds of tactics?
There are also reports that the whole "Bubba the love sponge" angle could be a work, but I doubt TNA would use Haiti to their advantage in a storyline, especially with what Bubba said about the earthquake stricken land.
I hope someday Angle does come back to WWE, but I do not think this is how it will happen.
