Stand Up and Get Crunk Saints Fans: It's Your Time!
Two months ago, the New Orleans Saints looked to be an unstoppable force ready to book their Miami trip early.
One month ago, the Saints of old seemed to be making an appearance. I will admit that I thought the team had peaked too soon and was extremely worried about their playoff chances.
With teams like Dallas and Minnesota playing their best football of the year, I feared that the magical season in New Orleans would come to a disappointing conclusion.

Fast forward to now. The Saints and Vikings both seem to be at the top of their game and this weekend’s matchup in the Dome is destined to be incredible.
New Orleans, coming off of a dominating performance against Arizona, has a renewed fire and one of the biggest home field advantages in the history of the NFL playoffs.
Most of the time, home field advantage in the playoffs goes to a northern team hosting southern team in a foot of snow in below freezing weather.
What is worse, a frozen field or 60,000 wild and crazy New Orleanians?
Sunday evening in the New Orleans Superdome is going to be absolutely insane.
Imagine Mardi Gras compressed into one building, and then supercharged by the sound of the Ying Yang Twins as 60,000 fans who, by game time will have been drinking and partying for at least 2 days, “stand up and get crunk” like there is no tomorrow.
Saints fans have never experienced an NFC Championship game in the Superdome, and most have been waiting almost their entire lives for this event.
This is their time. This is their home. And this is their chance to redeem a franchise that has struggled since its inception.
The Vikings come in confident after a controversial blowout of the Cowboys. However, they are about to enter a world that they have never experienced.
After seeing Dallas get rolled up and embarrassed, look for the Saints to come out early and make a statement.
Brett Favre’s post-game antics last weekend are sure to inspire the Saints players and fans. My prediction is 33-17, a Black & Gold Super Bowl and Favre and the Vikings “looking like fools with their pants on the ground.”
WHO DAT!
