Should the New England Patriots go for TO?

As all of the New England fans know the Patriots have become a pass happy offense due to the fact they have no breakout running back. Let’s face it Laurence Maroney hasn’t been the running back that we thought he was going to be, not to mention that Fred Taylor was injured for most of the season and Kevin Faulk is not your every down back.  With the Patriots desperately needing some defensive help and with the College draft being full of defense this year it would be wise to utilize that and go young on the defensive side of the ball look at how getting Jerrod Mayo turned out he led the team in tackles in 2008 and 2009. Which now brings me to my point go for TO and hope for a running back that you can pick up in the late second or even the third round in the draft. You may say NO WAY! This guy is crazy but look at this year TO had his worst full season ever he only had 829 reception yards this year this is 239 yards below a career average, and not once this year did TO go out into the public and start complaining that he wasn’t doing enough for his team and, not once did TO cause a distraction in the locker room so what does that say. To me this says two things TO has finally realized that he needs to man up and just play the game, it also tells me he is going to comeback in the 2010 season wanting to play harder. Hey if it takes giving TO a one year contract like Buffalo did so be it give him a one year contract and make him earn incentives just like when Randy Moss came to New England. If you can get TO then Tom Brady will not just have Randy Moss and Wes Welker if he can still play to full potential. This will give Tom Brady a 1A, 1B and, 1C receiving squad just like in the 2007 season with Moss, Welker and, Stallworth except TO is a better receiver than Stallworth was. This would be the best receiving squad the NFL has ever seen and it would go perfect in the pass happy offense the New
England Patriots have.
