Top 5 Scorers of all time
Well, here I would like to know who the top 5 scorers of All Time are. I will give you my opinion right now and you guys tell me if you agree or disagree; You could also just ignore my post and just make your own list. Anyways here it is:
1.Wilt Chamberlain:
He is by the best scorer in his era and probably the best all time too. Wilt had the ability to take over a game with his scoring inside. I mean which other player can score 100 points in a game, which other player can average 50 points a game for a whole season. These numbers are always mind bending when ever I mention them to myself and trust that isn't just something I made up. We also have to remember that there was no three point line when he did these things. He also holds the record as the highest career average in points for any player to play(Micheal Jordan tied him). The thing that really helped Wilt do all this back in his day was the fact that he may just be the strongest player ever to play the game and he was without a doubt the strongest player in his era which his why he scored with such ease. Wilt is also one of those players that have so much to their game. If Wilt got a pass inside and had the player behind him, he could dunk the ball; when he had the ball on his own he always could turn around for the sky hook shot(No, it wasn't nearly as effective as Kareem Abdul Jabbar). By the way, I am basing this off what I have read about him and also the games I have seen of him. Anyways, he is the best scorer of all time, no one else can even compare.
2.Micheal Jordan
Micheal Jeffery Jordan is the second best scorer of all time because the era in which he scored a lot in was arguably the best era tat the NBA had ever experienced. Micheal was so good that people refer to that era as the Micheal Jordan era. Micheal Jordan has tied Wilt Chamberlain as the highest career average in points of any NBA player ever to play the game(Once again other then Wilt who had tied him too with ha 30.1 average). Micheal Jordan also had something that no other basketball player in the world had, a lot of "Swaggar" on the court. Micheal Jordan was one of those really flashy players and he actually capitalized on it. Micheal Jordan was the "Perfect guard"; He could shoot the three(Was in the three point contest but only got 5 threes in), he could drive with the best of them and then he could dunk there too(Not that dunking matters). Micheal Jordan was probably the most clutch player in the history of the NBA(It is comparable between him and Reggie Miller). Some great things that is that he holds the record for the most 40 point games ad is the oldest player to score 51 points..He did it at the tender age of 39, he never really died out though like Wilt did. Wilts average went down big time while his lowest was like 23 points a game..22 maybe.
3.Kobe Bryant:
As much as I love to hate on this man, I have come to my senses and I am going to give him his props. Kobe Bryant is a 50 point game waiting to happen. If you ask me, he can go off for 50 points at any given night. He doesn't have to be "feeling the touch" like many other players in today's game. I mean he has such a strong and sleek drive to the rim, heck you could even consider it Micheal Jordan esk(NO, this does not mean that he has shit on Jordan). Kobe Bryant has 21 50 point games and is second in NBA in terms of active players with 40 point games. Kobe Bryant did do something that Micheal Jordan or any other player other then Wilt Chamberlain did, he scored 81 points in a game which is flippin' ridiculous. Kobe Bryant can also do everything that Micheal Jordan could do just not nearly as effectively. Kobe Bryant has cooled down a bit though..well, at least this season. Kobe Bryant doesn't have to do as much as he did before, he doesn't have to score as often so don't mistake this as the fact that he is losing his touch in terms of scoring. The man is scoring 25 a game in like 34 minutes, that's pretty ridiculous don't you think?
4.Kareem Abdul Jabbar:
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is by far the most talented center to ever play the game. Kareem holds the record for the most points scored in a career with 37,000+ points which is why is is up here...well, at least it is one of the reasons. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar scored double digits in points for I think 787 games which is like 9 seasons...RIDICULOUS! As I was saying, Kareem is he most talented Center(Skilled) Center to play the game, he had so much to his game, it was mind bending, he could dunk, he had that UNSTOPPABLE sky hook shot, could shoot the mid range shot and everything. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is probably the most clutch Center to ever play the game, he could finish games off with that deadly sky hook shot of his, a shot that was considered unstoppable. Kareem stacked up the MVPs because of that shot, he won championships with that shot too, he won play off games with that shot.
5.Allen Iverson:
This little man is unbelievable. At 6'1 and 185 pounds he finds his way inside to the basket with all the big fellas and scores like its nothing. He is probably the hardest player to guard in the NBA and probably in the top 5 in NBA history. Allen Iverson ranks third in career points average with 27 points a game topping NBA greats such as Oscar Robertson etc. There is a reason why Allen Iverson is my favorite player that reason is because of his dominance on the court without having the size to dominate, he is a warrior. He is probably the streakiest player to ever play the game of Basketball and is probably the toughest to do so too. Allen Iverson really evolved the amount of flash in the NBA when he came in with all these cross overs that all these players use nowadays, they need to realize who started all that stuff. The crossover is nearly impossible to stop if you fall for it then you well, fall. Allen Iverson uses that cross over to get inside the lane and scored.
