Handing Out 1-Year Deals
Arbitration. Teams, Players, and the Front Office hate arbitration. We All know what it is, and we hate it because it's either the player get a low contract or he's Free Agent. But Friday Bobby Jenks and Carlos Quentin got the arbitration call. Bobby Jenks get's 7.5 Million while Quentin will get 3.2 Million, both with one year contracts.
Carlos Quentin who missed more then half the season last year, is expected to move from Left to Right Field to replace the longtime player, Jermaine Dye (left as Free Agent). Quentin expected to hit in the 3 hole, hit .236 with 56 RBIs in Under 99 games last season. While in his first season with the White Sox, he hit .288 with 36 homers and 100 RBIs. He was named to the All-Star team and was a Silver Slugger Award winner.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Bobby Jenks was the key last season when they had the lead, well most games. Before the All-Star brake, the White Sox will really looking to trade Mr. Jenks, due to his potential salary. Jenks, 28, fell short one save last season of a fourth consecutive 30-save season. It seems hard to believe that He already ranks third in Sox history with 146 saves.
Only one key-player for the White Sox still has arbitration in front of them, John Danks. He's not eligible for free agency have an impartial judge determine their salary, and who know's when that will be. Around 25+ days until Pitchers and Catchers report, so we might see a deal done soon.
About the 1-Year deal thing, I hate it, you all should. Why? Because when the Players out there, winning with a good team, have nothing to look forward to, nothing. You may say Next Year Free Agents! No, they want to play, and play hard. But when their out on the field, they wanna think that they'll be somewhere next year. Think about it, really.
Go SOX!
