Super Bowl Commercial Idea
Remember the days when the NFL was actively searching for new Super Bowl commercial ideas to increase ratings?Ā I'm sure most NFL fans do. How great would it be to come up with an idea for a new commercial and have it played on the weeks leading up to, and during, the Superbowl? I'm sure most writing enthusiasts and general football fans would agree that it would be a great accomplishment.
While I'm not sure that they will do that this year, I thought I would share my idea for the next great Super Bowl commercial. Please read and enjoy, or let me know what you think.

Now, we all know that more and more people are flooding to bars and clubs alike to watch the big game. Why? Mostly due to the wings, drinks, and game atmosphere, and oh, did I mention the wings? Man I love those wings. You know they have many different flavors now. You can get them in........well that's a different article I guess. But hey, if your ever near a Wing Stop or Buffalo Wild Wings, stop in and ask about their wings. Man I love those wings.
Now back to the commercial. Picture this. One of the Super Bowl teams goes to study some film on the opponent when their power goes out.Ā What are they to do? They call up a local bar or club. Preferably one with wings. Man I love those wings.
They get the "okay" to bring the team over and use their TVs to go over the game film. Now they are in a secluded area in the back, away from the main area of the bar. They begin to go over film.
Cut to part two. The TVs in the main area of the bar are showing clips from previous Super Bowl moments: Joe Montana's late drives, great catches, great hits, big runs, all of theĀ moments we think of when we think of previous Superbowls.
The people in the bar begin to grow louder in their chants and raves. "Man now that's a catch." "Oooh now that's a hit." That sort of thing.
Meanwhile, in the back of the bar, the team is growing impatient with the growing crowd noise and disturbances. Things start to rattle on the shelves and the Coach is all but mute in his attempts to speak to the team. Finally, they've had enough and decide to go talk to the roudy crowd.
Now picture these guys at 6'5", 6'6", 350 lbs of intimidating beings. They walk to the front of the bar and the camera pans to the menacing crowd for the first time. That's when everyone comes to the realization that this is not your normal croud, but instead is filled with previous Super Bowl greats such as, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Terry Bradshaw, and whomever else they can get.
Then they all look at the camera and say those famous words. "Are you ready for some Football?"
I think the ending could probably end in several ways, such as them all laughing when they realize who was in the other room, but I really like ending with those famous words that gets your blood flowing.
There you have it. My great Superbowl commercial idea. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoy playing it over and over in my head. I think it's hilarious. Feel free to leave comments on what you think of the idea or any changes that you might make. .....Now where can I get me some of those wings?
