Dear Denver Bronco Sports fans,

I like to tell you a short story before I get to my point, please bare with me.

Nine years ago, I moved to the Richmond, Virginia area. While the move was for better work I was leaving my Denver Broncos.  I, as a grown adult had a family to support and remaining in a town for a sport team would have been stupid, so off I went.  I watched my great team year by year slip into a mediocre state of being.  When it came time for my return (home) to the Denver area, I was excited to be around the atmosphere of the team…..

I am still looking for it! In the course of eight years the Broncos have not only not been a good team, the fans have slipped into a coma….. I hear people say “8-8 that’s good” or “9-7 would have been great”,really?? I recall a time when 10-2 was offensive…

The coach for life is fired and the coach who is starting life is hired. Perhaps what should have happened is “coach” should have given a “sick season” and then return fresh. If he failed then hit the road…. Our new coach, I feel bi-polar in watching him. One minute I love how he responds to winning, and then I hate him when he reacts to players. Trading Cutler, I can live with, to attempt to disgrace and loose Brandon Marshal is childish.

Living in Denver, I have watch with more interest than the games,McDaniels attitude toward the city and toward the players. Then 30 minutes before I started to write this it occurred to me…

I cannot be angry at the young coach, after all he was hired to coach, not to be a leader. My anger or sadness should be directed to the owner. Here is a man that has a new stadium, with the help of the local tax payers, has destroyed the mystic south stands, and has hired a leadership team that could lead a Girl Scout troop out of a paper bag. (No offense to GS troop).

So how do you (a fan) get the attention of an owner? Whining in newspaper blogs do not work, as I doubt he cares, what does an owner care about??? Money! and reputation. So what can us fans that make $12.00 per hour do…? Well, what if there was a fan strike? Do not buy or wear merchandise, do not buy tickets, do not attend practices, and do not attend games. In fact sell your tickets to opposing team fans…

Will it work…? I do not know, but will be packing my Bronco gear, until intelligence returns to my team and I hope my city.
