Boston Is Spoiled Rottenville
Ok this is year two without a championship, yes this is NOT a typo!
It’s year TWO without a championship in Boston perhaps the Bruins or probably the Celtics can end this “drought.”
After the Red Sox and Patriots took an early exit out of the playoffs this year, Boston sports fans are saying, “Whoa is me!”

Offseason Moves for Every Team 👉
Are you kidding me?
I am a HUGE Boston sports fan. I eat, breathe, and sleep the Bruins and Patriots. I am a casual fan of the Celtics and Red Sox. I may not watch every Sox and C’s game but I keep tabs on ALL four major sports teams.
But folks we are GREEDY!
After 2001, we packed up the U-Haul and moved from the run down shack in Loserville. The Patriots(x3), Red Sox(x2), and the Celtics(x1) hired the moving vans and bought us property in the “City of Champions.” Now in 2010, we have a fat swanky mansion in Spoiled Rottenville.
People, the Patriots and Sox realistically can not win it EVERY single year!
As Americans and especially Bostonians/New Englanders, we all have a SHORT TERM MEMORIES (don’t even get me going about the American flags after 9/11)!
We have had SIX parades in this city in the decade that just concluded. The DUCK boats wore out their damn wheels and motors!!
How many parades in the past decade have they had in Baltimore (Ravens), Cleveland (0), Chicago (White Sox), LA/Anaheim (Angels/Ducks), Kansas City (0), and Dallas (0)?
Yes if you know your math that’s equals four!! That’s four between six cities! Even New York has fewer championships than Boston (Yankees x2, Giants)!!
The stars aligned and it was a perfect championship storm in Beantown. Be grateful! Embrace what you just had!
It’s NOT OVER!
The Patriots had an “off” year going 10-6 and an AFC East title. Granted they laid an egg in the playoffs, but the Patriots are not the St. Louis Rams or Oakland Raiders. Both the aforementioned teams reached the super bowl in the last 11 years (Rams won in ’99 and lost in ’01. Raiders lost in ’02.), and a mere six or sevens years later are in complete shambles.
Be GRATEFUL you STILL have the one of the best quarterbacks and coaches in history. The Patriots are rebuilding. Their stars got old and retired. It’s life, people get old and talents diminish.
Give the Patriots time, there is no reason another dynasty couldn’t blossom. We all set the bar way too high for a modern day dynasty that ran its course. Sorry to break it to you.
Brady shouldn’t be traded. Moss should not be thrown on the trash heap. You still need stars to be competitive. They BOTH STILL ARE.
Anyone who thinks other wise should be hung up on when they call sports radio!
ATTENTION: Your Patriots ARE NOT the Oakland Raiders. RELAX!
Now the Red Sox.
They get a pass in my mind until the END OF TIME. In 2004, the Red Sox gave us something that has not been seen since the early 1900’s!!
Wars have been fought!
States have been added to the Union.
Generations have come and gone without seeing a baseball championship in Beantown.
Theo and the brain trust on Yawkey Way not only gave us one championship but TWO.
MULLIGAN! MULLIGAN! 2009 WAS A MULLIGAN!
They will rise again and probably win another few trophies before I kick the bucket (I am only 36).
BREATHE!
The sports apocalypse is NOT UPON US!
You have the Celtics who have been one of the model franchises for winning in all of sports. They got freaking SEVENTEEN championships! That’s more than the Cavs, Mavs, Magic, Pistons, and Bulls combined!
And they probably will raise banner EIGHTEEN this year if they get healthy.
Is it really all that bad?
Well of course if you are Bruins fans which I am.
Bruins fans are the ONLY ones allowed to whine and complain. They have not raised Lord Stanley’s Cup in 38 stinking years!
The legions of Black and Gold fans have been let down management for decades!
The Bruins only had slight chances in ’88 and ’90 when they had to face the juggernaut Oilers.
So unless you follow the Bruins, stop your bellyaching and crying.
No one outside New England feels bad for us. They think we are greedy!
And guess what?
WE ARE!
Things will get better for the Sox, Pats, and C’s. They are going to add to their mantles before you take your dirt nap.
The Beantown Sports Sky is NOT falling!
Unless you are Bruins fan.
