T-Wolf Talk: Non-Broadcasted Games Annoying To "Watch"

Tonight the Timberwolves went into a 3rd overtime to decide what ended up becoming their 32nd loss of the season.

I watched the scores tick from ESPN.com.

A true fan may have a League Pass package, but those can be pretty costly.

The Timberwolves are never on ESPN.

So in order to watch a Timberwolves game, one must pray that the game is featured on FSN North, or Channel 45 (which is on channel 15 where I live, and that kind of makes me irritated).

So what's a Wolves' fan to do?

In my opinion, it's just an injustice. I was checking the box scores, and saw that the Timberwolves were down by three with around two seconds left, and then in the play by play, it listed the following:

0:00 in the 4th Quarter; Corey Brewer hit a 51-foot jump shot.

My first impression was that a shot with zero seconds left wouldn't count. But it was also listed as the Wolves gaining three points, enough to tie the Rockets at 89. Sure enough, the Wolves were in overtime.

ESPN.com also has a feature called GameCast which I figured out just in time for the 1st overtime. 

You can see what play just happened, who hit a shot, from where it was, and who got the rebound if they missed. They also update steals, turnovers, and timeouts. The problem with this is, it can get really spotty, and it may not show anything for two to three minutes, then jump scores instantly, and find out that a team is two behind, when they were just two ahead.

The problem is, there really isn't an answer to this problem.

When the Wolves start winning more, FSN and 45 will probably start to sponsor all 82 games, and if the Wolves start to play playoff-style ball, they may get some ESPN, ESPN2, or TNT slots.

Until then, pray your computer can refresh fast, or that it is compatible with GameCast.
