Arsenal: Transfer Options

As the end of the january transfer window fast approaches and no signings yet to have occured i thought i would write an article about Arsenal's transfer situation.

What Arsenal needs right now are loan signings untill the end of the season and then at the end of the season buy a striker. We need a central defender on loan, a defending midfielder on loan just up untill the end of january, in the end it may not be worth it with just over two weeks untill the end of the Africa Cup of Nations and we can have Song back. We also need a striker on loan.

As you all Gunners fans know Sol Campbell returned to play in the Reserves match for Arsenal against West Ham. This shows that we are close to signing the 35 year old or at least on a loan. If this go's ahead then this will be big boost to the club adding some experience to the change rooms and cover for Vermaelen and Gallas who are looking very tired at the moment. I think Sol would fit in just fine instead of Silvestre.

As for a defending midfielder. I do not know many names that circulate this postion. I believe that we dont really need a player for this postion as Song is doing a wonderful job at this position, if we stick it out for a couple off weeks then i think this postion will be fine.

A striker. I know Marouane Chamakh finishes his contract at the end of the season, maybe if we signed him for a loan untill the end of the season we can aquire his services for the rest of the season and then at the end we can buy him for free.

One more thing. We NEED to seel Almunia. I have watched all the Arsenal games this season and countless times i have been pissed off because of goal keeping blunders. We need to sell him as soon as we can to gain what little money we can from him, and then it is time for Fabianski to get a run of games with Vito Mannone the second keeper. Put it simply, Alumina is not up to standard and should be on his way out.
