Pur-Doh! Buckeyes Upset No.6 Boilermakers 70-66
Ohio State didn’t have an answer for Robbie Hummel, who went off for 29 points in the first half. The Buckeyes as a team only managed 29 first half points to tie Hummel, the only problem was Hummel’s teammates added another 12 giving them a 41-29 lead going into the half.
The second half was much better for Oho State despite the fact they continue to turn the ball over, lack any kind of shooting rhythm at times, and get careless fouls. The Buckeyes had 16 turnovers on the game and most came in the first half when they needed to come back from a double-digit deficit.

Report: Biggest Spenders in Men's CBB 🤑
Evan Turner has played outstanding since returning, however he gets very little support from his surrounding cast, and absolutely no help off the bench. Turner managed to get 32 points and nine rebounds leading the team in both categories.
The player I’m most impressed with since Turner’s injury is William Buford. He struggled in the beginning when he was given more responsibility with the offense, but has progressed into a scoring threat to compliment Turner. Buford had 19 points and seven rebounds on the night.
Jon Diebler continues to struggle with his three-point shooting and soft defense. He had six points on a 2-4 shooting performance. OSU shot 51 percent from the field and 45 percent from behind the arc.
The Boilermakers rode the Robbie Hummel wave to a tune of 35 points. E’Twaun Moore chipped in 19 of his own points, but the rest of the team struggled finding any offensive prowess.
Purdue shot 43 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range on it’s way to its 14-2 record on the season. They struggled in the second half, but this was due more to Hummel getting injured and going cold than any other factor. Hummel dislocated his finger with 3:23 left in the second half, he did however return after a brief stint in the locker room.
Purdue was outscored 41-25 in the second half as the Buckeyes caught fire on their way to their second conference win on the season. The Boilermakers have suffered their second straight loss after opening the season 14-0.
Ohio State (11-6) looked better than it has lately, but still continues to underachieve this season on offense. The Buckeyes will now take on Wisconsin (13-3) for the second time this season on Saturday. The first meeting was a 65-43 thrashing by the Badgers in Madison. Ohio State looks to avenge that loss and prove that it is still a contender in the Big Ten.
