Should Arsenal Attempt To Sign Louis Saha?
Rumor has it that Arsenal may make a move for Everton striker Louis Saha.
Saha is apparently demanding a weekly wage of £60,000 for 3 years. With Arsenal currently lacking a strong, physical striker thanks to injuries to Robin van Persie and Nicklas Bendtner. The imposing Frenchman could be a perfect signing.
The 31 year old is a strong, fierce striker who is currently in hot form with 12 goals to his name, Everton's leading goalscorer. Despite his age, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is still eager to snare the former United striker.
Wenger is considering offering Saha a two year deal with an option of an additional one year. The French international becomes a free agent in the Summer which means Wenger could capture Saha for free.
However, Everton manager David Moyes may look to sell the 6'1" forward if their deal issue is not resolved.
The former Fulham sharpshooter would fit into Arsenal's quick, easy on the eye, one touch style well. Thanks to his pace and strength, Saha is able to play up front by himself and is also able to control the long balls and lay them off.
However, Saha has a dreadful record with injuries. Injuries have hampered Saha's progress in the Premier League as injuries usually take place when he is coming into blistering form.
Saha is a strong striker, which, at the moment, Arsenal craves. If Nicklas Bendtner is unable to return to full fitness soon a move for Louis Saha may be a wise one for the Gunners.
