Who's Going to Win The War at UFC 111 Frank Mir or Shane Carwin?
UFC 111 is a couple months away, but I am already amp up about the event.
Funny thing is it has been so long since we have seen Shane Carwin fight I am wondering if ring rust will be a problem for him?
Mir has gained some weight and put on some real muscle. Since his confidence level is soaring from his last fight with Congo will this be his best performance to date?

Let's not forgot that this is MMA and anything is possible, but at the end of the day who has the most skill and best game plan?
Has Mir's boxing improved so much that he could knock out a guy like Carwin? What about Mir's ground game? Can he submit Carwin in the blink of an eye?
And what about Carwins being out for one full year? Has this time off helped him or will it eventually hurt him?
Both men are dangerous at their craft. I see where confidence and more total skill could overcome the pure strength and power of a guy like Carwin.
But let's be real. Carwin is 11-0. Can Mir really hurt him enough to stop him or is this just another beating like he received from Brock.
Both are smart fighters. I just watched some tapes on Carwin and he is really good at getting the fighters to the ground.
He has excellent control and he doesn't get in a hurry. He is a very disciplined fighter. At the end of the night the winner with his hand raised will be the one that has the best game plan to overcome the weaknesses of his opponent.
If Mir leads out with a right kick I see Carwin taking him down time and time again. If Carwin takes Mir to the ground we may see the new strength of Mir come into play and counter those attacks.
They both have a huge chance of winning the fight. Mir's strength will be his submissions and a little boxing and Carwin's strength's will be his powerful right and take downs.
Whatever happens I hope it last more than one round. It would be real nice to see a chess match of two great fighters.
What's your take on this fight and how it will end? Please leave comments.
