I thought Mike Holmgren was an intelligent man for the Browns job.... I am quickly beginning to think I was wrong.

News out of Cleveland today is the Browns are low-balling Pro-Bowler Josh Cribbs....again.

In case you have been living under a box, Cribbs and the Browns have been in contract talks for some time now, and this is basically the final nail in the coffin. If there is no deal done, Cribbs' agent has been quoted as saying he will be done with Cleveland.

I don't get it. What in the world does the man have to do!? What do the fans have to do?

This is the most loved player on a TERRIBLE football team. He was Golden Flash, he is a local boy, he loves Cleveland..... that's right folks, a GOOD player who WANTS to be a Cleveland Brown! How often do those words flow together in the same sentence?

He is by far the most explosive player we have, and he is not your Devan Hester-only returning kicks- man. He runs the wild cat, he can catch when he needs to (not a #1 WR but still), and he is simply a play maker.

If Mike Holmgren wants to keep the Cleveland faithful on his side, he better do himself a favor and give Josh Cribbs a paycheck more then 1.4 million for the next 3 years. He is a guy you can build a team around. He makes everyone around him better, he gives the terrible offense better field position, and teams scheme around his athletic ability.

Memo to Holmgren- Gets the deal done, the Browns need it, and you need it for fan support.
