I know they don't play the same position; Elam's a safety, but from a " maintenance" standpoint, this kid is making me nervous as visions of those who've gone before him dance in my head.

As reported on Only Gators Get Out Alive , five-star high school recruit, Matt Elam (West Palm Beach, Florida), has gone back and forth with his decision on what school to attend.

Originally leaning toward Florida for the past year, Elam changed his mind with Urban Meyer and seemed to have decided on Florida State.

Over the past week, however, there have been a number of reports that he was changing his mind again; this time back to Florida.

Now the indecision isn't what bothers me as a Gator fan.

It's his latest comment suggesting that his decision will be dependent upon which school offers him the most playing time as a freshman.

Hey Matt?

Could we at least wait until the first practice before you give us your demands?

This guy's got "high maintenance" written all over him.

Perhaps Jimbo (Fisher, new Florida State head coach), will have to lean on dearly departed Bobby Bowden sooner than he had anticipated for advice on how to deal with high school head cases.

Because I'd rather he be the Seminoles' headache than ours.
