One Swallow Wont't Bring The Spring In TNA

Lately there has been a lot of discussion in the Pro Wrestling community about Hulk Hogan signing with TNA, and about how he will affect TNA.

Most people claim that Hogan will increase the ratings and that because of the Hulkster's appearance, TNA might surpass WWE.

I am here today to discuss about this matter, and I am here to make YOU people understand that in the same way that one swallow won't bring the spring, in the same way Hogan won't bring absolute success in TNA.

Let me start by making clear that I have nothing against Hogan. Even though one can describe his wrestling ability as "questionable", there is no one that can doubt his marketability. I would write the same article if Flair, or Piper or The Rock or anyone else went to TNA.

Now, to the point. Hogan's appearance in TNA will improve the ratings, but seriously is there a chance TNA will go from 1.3-1.5 to more than 3? I believe that Hogan will increase the ratings by 0.5 at the most. So while Raw gets at least 3.0 (usually a lot more), TNA will manage to go to 1.8-2.0. An improvement? Sure, Anything earth-shattering? I don't think so.

Lets now proceed to the wrestling part. Hogan is currently 56 years old, fairly fit for a man of his age, but still due to his age you can't expect anything more than a 10 minutes match. So Hogan doesn't improve the Wrestling part either.

In addition with so many legends hosting RAW each week (Jesse Ventura, Rock, Bret Hart) why will a typical RAW fan choose TNA when he can see a wrestling legend and watch the show he always watches?

I admit that Hogan will make things better for TNA, but wrestling fans need to calm down because  the spring won't come in TNA with only one swallow no matter how big it is.
