Iowa 24 Georgia Tech 14--- Now For 2010
So Iowa Beat the Vaunted Georgia Tech attack 24-14. GO HAWKS
Now we get to think about 2010. We have Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin in Kinnick. We will enter the year ranked in the top 10 and our quarterback and Adrian Clayborne are returning. So as you go around the web one thing becomes evident. The Big Ten Conference is not as bad as everyone said we were.
It is popular among the sports media to laud all things Texas and SEC and say that they do it right and we do it wrong. But tonight in the Orange Bowl and earlier in the Week in the Rose and Capital One bowls the Big Ten won its way.
Georgia Tech the team that everyone on ESPN said "Should be playing for a national championship" scored 10 points on offense. Frankly I think that the folks on ESPN should realize that a good offensive and defensive line is a something worth having.
I think that what the wins by the Big Ten show is that the conventional wisdom in college football it is all about spread offenses and speed only works if the other team cannot play defense.
So we go into 2010 with Iowa, Penn State, Ohio State and Wisconsin all in the hunt for the Big Ten Title and more and all three have to come to Kinnick Stadium. I am looking forward to 2010- I would like to see my first Rose Bowl since 1989 when I was 22 and thought that Rose Bowls would be a regular occurance.
Kirk Ferentz and our Hawkeyes did well. The played well and to the bloggers out there who were making fun of Iowa and its Hogs.... remember we also deliver writers, poets, doctors, lawyers and business people and we WON the Orange Bowl 24-14
Go Big Ten
Go Hawks
