Tim Tebow You Wish He Was Your Kid

Tim Tebow.

Get used to those words as being associated with one of the greatest players in College Football history.

Love 'em or hate 'em, he had a grand ride at Florida, whether you want to agree with it or not.

But this article isn't about Tim Tebow, it is about our society as a whole.

Think about it.

IF, and I mean if, you think Tim Tebow is an overhyped piece of...well you know what, then you are exactly the person that needs to read this article.

What did Tim Tebow ever do to you?

Likely nothing, other than color your TV with incredible plays, incredible leadership, a Heisman Trophy, and a ton of other accolades to go along with it...

But...

ESPN and every other media outlet overhyped the kid.

Really?

Should we have NOT overhyped Tim Tebow?

This is a college student that believes in giving to less fortunate others.  In fact, he has given more time to charities around the world in efforts combined than anybody who reads this very article.

But yet...you want to call him as being a fake and/or a media hound?

If Tim Tebow was not a starting QB for the Florida Gators, he would have still been going to the third world countries to do what he and his family felt was right.

Sadly, Tim is condemned for doing such things.  He is looked at as being an "overhype" upon our society today.

I have to laugh.  Really, I do.  Overhyped?  Are you serious?  This is a kid who has not done a single thing wrong other than cry after this years SEC Championship game.  God forbid a player who really cares and wants to win.

In a society that gives hope to such players as Michael Vick, Chad Ochocinco, and Ray Lewis, we will all be treated to a bunch of people with aspirations of nothing other than themselves.  Yet, as a society we somewhat love it....

Personally, I can't understand the affliction with poor role models.  I can't stand that Chad Ocho-whatever is still in the NFL.  I can't stand that Ray Lewis was undoubtedly involved with a murder, and I can't stand people who want to drag a good man down.

Does Tim Tebow intimidate your goodness?  Likely. 

This is barely a 20-something kid who is a better person than 95 percent of the general public, and likely more.

Sucks that he quotes bible rants and actually means it.  He can actually recite them if asked.  Can this kid be real you ask? 

Absolutely. 

Timothy Tebow is the real deal.  A role model.  A great football player, and likely a much better person than yourself.

Can you deal with that, especially with it all coming from an early 20-something?

Naaahhh...you'll just laugh at him and hope he fails at the next level.  Then, and only then, you can feel good about yourself again. 

Then again, even if Timmy doesn't make an NFL roster, he'll be over in a third world country helping kids and families while you are lambasting the next QB at Florida.

All the while sitting in your Laz-y-Boy and lamenting that you were absolutely correct in calling Tim a bust in the NFL and making trades for your next Fantasy Football season. 

Tell me again...who is the better person?
