WWE Should Have Made Legacy a Bigger Stable

The Doctor Chris MuellerJan 1, 2010

First off, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.  I hope everyone was safe and had fun last night.

Now, for the article...

Legacy appears to be on the verge of breaking up, which a lot of people predicted would happen when Ted Dibiase's movie came out.  I personally think the WWE missed out on a better stable by having more members.

I didn't think Snuka and Manu fit too well with the rest of the guys, so I didn't mind seeing them leave, but there are many other second- and third-generation wrestlers who would have benefited greatly by being involved.

I know stables being too big is not good either, hence the failure of the nWo.  I just wish they would have utilized more of their talent on hand.

Carlito and Primo are not only second-gen wrestlers, but both are good workers in the ring.  Having them in Legacy would have upped their status and given them something to do other than Job to everyone else on Raw.

Chavo is a guy with a huge family background in wrestling, he should have challenged Orton for control of Legacy.  I know he is not as high as Orton is on the food chain but he is a great performer who could have contributed a lot.

I was also curious why Dibiase's younger brother Brett was brought in for a quick run-in to save Orton from losing the belt and then never brought back.

I know he is working with Mr. Perfect's son in development of a tag team, but it just seemed strange to have him come in only to be cast off back to the south.

And let's not forget about the Hart Dynasty. They looked like a shoo-in to join Legacy at first.  Family ties to wrestling and a great look made them prime candidates to join up with Orton and Legacy, but alas, they were relegated to Smackdown and ECW.

I don't think all of these guys should have been in Legacy at the same time, but some of them would have been good additions.

I also think they could have brought in Goldust and had Legacy try and force him to change back to dressing like a normal wrestler.  It would have been a great story of why his character is important to him as well as a chance for the Rhodes brothers to work together.

Maybe the WWE is saving the brother vs. brother match for the future, but I think it would have been a good storyline.

I hope that if Orton breaks his ties to Rhodes and DiBiase, that Rhodes and DiBiase keep Legacy going with some newer guys and make it a more worthwhile stable.  Adding Brett DiBiase and Joe Hennig would be great additions to the stable.

Maybe I am alone on this one, but i just feel that stables work better in groups of four and five; three is just too small.  It is basically a tag team and a singles guy who are associated instead of a group with a goal.

What do you think, should Legacy be bigger or end where it is at three?
