I Don't Remember Hulk Hogan Helping TNA's Ratings the First Time
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't Hogan appear on TNA in 2003?
I seem to remember seeing a clip of Jeff Jarrett hitting Hogan with a guitar at a press conference in Japan. Hogan was then supposed to face Jarrett for the NWA title but due to nagging injuries, he was unable to appear.
TNA advertised Hogan's appearance back then and it got them nothing, so why do they think it will be any different this time?

Do they think that because he is now a full-time employee and not a one-shot guest that it will make a difference? Do they think that Hogan has magic powers that can will fans to arenas?
He might actually, I've seen how people react to him and it's like the way girls went crazy for N'Sync in the 90's.
I just have a hard time believing that Hogan will make a huge difference. I know that the TNA Monday night special will help, but I think someone who would actually wrestle might make a bigger splash than Hogan will as the shows GM or whatever they decide to do with him.
I have high hopes for the Monday night special because I believe TNA has some of the best talent in the world right now, but I think the over-selling of Hogan may hurt them in the end.
TNA was unique because it offered something different from the WWE. Smaller guys get showcased right up there with the bodybuilder types, and guys like AJ Styles and Daniels are main eventers.
Now with TNA bringing in Hogan and Eric Bischoff, along with Jarrett being back, it is starting to feel like something I have seen before.
My main wish is that they do in fact get rid of the six-sided ring and replace it with a traditional four-sided ring. The reason for this is that the TNA ring is too small to have huge scuffles.
It gets crowded very easily when they have a four-on-four match going. I know the six sided ring made them different, but I think had they made it a bit bigger, they could have had better matches.
I hope for TNA's sake that it does not repeat what happened with WCW with Hogan and Bischoff at the helm. What I do know for sure is that we will see some surprises this Monday and I for one am looking forward to what TNA and WWE will do.
