I'd like to start things off by saying that I am not a Michigan fan at all, although I have no problem with them at all.

I turned on the TV today and watched Rich Rodriguez’ Michigan Wolverines play Ohio State.

Michigan fans were probably feeling anguish over the loss they suffered. Meanwhile I was feeling fear for future NCAA football teams—mainly the Big Ten.

I know the main goal in college football is to win, “Now.” However, Michigan isn't going to win much, "NOW".

Howbeit, fans need to give Rich Rod one more season to prove himself. Patience is the key for Michigan fans.

Unlike most football programs, Rich Rod had to start from the very bottom of the barrel at Michigan.

Due to the fact that Rich changed Michigan's style of offense from a pro style to a spread attack, most of the recruits and even some of the veteran players transferred to another program.

He literally was starting from scratch.

Last year he literally had nothing. Two mediocre quarterbacks—at best—and an underrated defense.

Going into next year he will have his QB set in Tate Forcier—unless they kill each other first.

This year Forcier has been inconsistent, but that is acceptable due to the fact that he is a true freshman, and he has no veteran QB to guide him. Though Forcier has shown he has ice water in his veins, and can make great reads at times.

I would pick Tate over USC’s Barkley. Barkley has an "All-American" defense and a set offense, with veteran play makers.

Next year I look for Michigan to be a top five team.

Michigan's defense needs to get some play makers back after this season. They will lose Graham to the NFL and that's a major loss.

However, I believe the defense will be fine and the offensive line is very young and will only get better.

Michigan’s best wide outs are sophomores or younger.

The spread attack will take hold and Forcier will get even better. He will be a Heisman candidate.

Michigan may make a push for a national championship.

So, be patient Michigan fans and watch what happens.
