Shawn Michaels: Still The Showstopper, The Main Event, The Icon!!

I know everyone around here is very much interested in the shocking news concerning Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and TNA, and their future together. I must say I am too...

But this time my article is concerned with one person who has been and is the most entertaining person (and my favorite wrestler of all time) who hasn't tasted championship gold for a long time.

Shawn Michaels is one person who has always and at any point of time, been the most entertaining wrestler in the business. We all know and remember his accolades throughout his career. He has been the top guy in the industry. He was the most controversial wrestler. He has been the person who's presence has revolutionized wrestling. At one point of time, he even had to 'quit' due to injury, but he did come back, 4 years later, to do what he loved most, and that is - entertain us!!

He is The first grand slam champion, and has held the World championships in 4 different occasions. The last we saw of him in a championship victory was during the Elimination chamber Match for the World Heavyweight Championship in Survivor series 2002.

Since then he has been in a championship match a very few number of times(considering he is still one of the very best performers in the squared circle), and has won none of them..!! We have seen him lose to the likes of John Cena, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, etc.

Once more he has been given the chance to fight for the Championship gold at Survivor Series. And maybe once more we may see his defeat at the hands of either John Cena or Triple H. But can we rule out the possibility that he may be champion for one more time? Sure he is capable, and talented enough to be one(I'm not sure what others think of this). I'm sure most of us get excited when his entrance music hits, and the thousands in attendance stand on their feet to welcome him for yet another treat.

I'm not really happy with the idea for the promo on Smackdown! that involved The Miz and John Morrison, talking about who is the next Shawn Michaels of WWE. In my opinion, there is only one Shawn Michaels that can be seen in the ring, and that is the original Heartbreak Kid. I don't think anybody can be as good as Shawn Michaels when it comes to in-ring ability and the dedication to his work.

I hope that most of the readers do agree with me, and would love to see him become a champion again.
