Controversy in Atletí-Arsenal 😬
Sanchez has just one year left on his deal with the Gunners.
As noted by football journalist Shane Burns, Sanchez's comments muddy the water, as they're somewhat contradictory:
"The first comment stinks of "I'm leaving", the second says "I'll wait and see what Arsenal offer me" or he's just shrugging off speculation.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been clear with his stance on the 28-year-old, per Goal's Chris Wheatley:
Indeed, the Frenchman would rather allow him to leave for free next year than receive a large fee for him this summer if he doesn't sign a new deal.
Such a decision is understandable, even if it would mean Arsenal could miss out on a great deal of money that could be pumped back into the team.
Sanchez seeing out his contract would not only keep the team strong next season but also afford the Gunners a year to attempt to change the forward's mind about leaving the club.
Should he still move on, Wenger would at least be able to say he did everything in his power to keep him, even if it may do relatively little to pacify supporters.
Further, selling him this summer, particularly to a Premier League rival, would likely be seen as conceding the title before the season has even begun.
Sanchez is also likely to have some say in the matter, so a lot could depend on his decision, which Gunners fans will no doubt be hoping is to pen a new contract.
