Adam 'Pacman' Jones Yells at Reporter for Question About Offseason Arrest

Timothy RappApr 17, 2017

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones angrily and continuously berated a reporter during a locker room interview on Monday after he was asked about his offseason arrest.

WLWT.com shared the exchange:

"

"There were a lot of people upset with the way things went down in the offseason for you," the reporter said, alluding to a reported altercation outside a downtown hotel.

"Didn't I just tell you to not ask me that?" Jones replied. "You out (of this interview). Turn around. Go back, go back that way. Bye. See you. Next question."

WLWT's Derek Forrest was in the locker room at the time, and said the berating continued when the cameras stopped rolling.

As Jay Morrison of the Dayton Daily News added, Jones continued "yelling at him for asking 'stupid ass (expletive) questions'" and told him to "shut the (expletive) up."

Jones, 33, had said at the beginning of the interview that he wasn't going to "talk about court," though he answered a question about how grateful he was to still be with the team after his arrest, per Morrison. But when that same reporter asked a follow-up later in the interview, Jones became angry.

The cornerback was arrested in January after an incident at a hotel, which included Jones allegedly pushing a security guard and poking him in the eye, kicking and headbutting a police officer and later spitting on a jail nurse.

He was initially charged with misdemeanor counts of assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business along with a felony count of harassment with a bodily substance, though the last charge was dropped. He has since entered treatment for alcohol abuse and anger management.

Jones pleaded not guilty to the charges. If found guilty, he will face up to eight months in jail.
