Tony Romo Spends Day as Honorary Member of Dallas Mavericks
Bereft of the need to pursue a new NFL team, retired quarterback Tony Romo spent Tuesday with the Dallas Mavericks instead.
The NBA franchise made the new CBS broadcaster an honorary member of the squad for Tuesday's final home game of the season. He arrived with his son to practice, in full uniform, in front of an eager photographers:

During the light-hearted day, he offered sincere gratitude to the city of Dallas in a press conference:
Actually letting Romo play against the Denver Nuggets would represent a new low in NBA tanking. Still, Dallas has fallen to 32-48 after losing eight of its last nine games regardless.
Yet this is what happens when an organization unaccustomed to losing misses the postseason for the second time in 17 years.
