Andre Ellington Will Switch from RB to WR for Arizona Cardinals in 2017
Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians announced Wednesday that Andre Ellington will move from running back to wide receiver for the 2017 NFL season, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The 28-year-old veteran is set to enter his fifth NFL season after spending his first four as a running back.

Ellington was expected to be David Johnson's primary backup, but he will instead compete for touches as a receiver behind Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown.
With Ellington's move from the backfield, Kerwynn Williams and Elijhaa Penny are the only other running backs on Arizona's roster along with Johnson.
Johnson dominated the running back position in 2016, though, which resulted in Ellington's touching the ball a career-low 46 times.
Ellington caught 85 passes in his first two seasons combined, which suggests he has the hands necessary to make a successful conversion.
