The 73-year-old Snuka, whose nickname as a wrestler was "Superfly," was in court stemming from the alleged murder of his former girlfriend Nancy Argentino in 1983.
In September 2015, Snuka was charged with third-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter in Argentino's death. He pleaded not guilty to the charges that November, with a subsequent hearing last May to determine his mental competency to stand trial.
Per CBS News, in June, Lehigh county judge Kelly Banach deemed Snuka incompetent to stand trial after he was unable to determine what year it was and didn't know his age or the name of the current president of the United States during the hearing.
Snuka's hearing Friday was to see if his mental state had changed in the last six months in an effort to proceed with the trial, but no official ruling was made with Cassi reporting the judge wants to see a list of the medical treatments Snuka has received over the past six months.
Robert Kirwan, Snuka's attorney, said during the hearing his client has had multiple infections, and if his health continues to decline, he could die within six months.
Snuka was previously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1996, but as a result of his murder trial, the wrestling company has had his Superstars page removed, per Dan Stamm of NBC Philadelphia.
During his wrestling career, Snuka worked for WWE, American Wrestling Association and Eastern Championship Wrestling. His last major match took place at WrestleMania 25 in 2009 when he teamed with Ricky Steamboat and Roddy Piper in a handicap match against Chris Jericho.
