Stephanie McMahon Talks Ronda Rousey in WWE, Women Main-Eventing WrestleMania
On the heels of Sasha Banks and Charlotte main-eventing Hell in a Cell, WWE minority owner Stephanie McMahon discussed the possibility of the company signing another transcendent female athlete in UFC star Ronda Rousey in a recent interview.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, McMahon said she is hopeful WWE will be able to reel in Rousey eventually.

She also made reference to getting the former UFC Women's Bantamweight champion back for putting her in an armbar during a surprise appearance at WrestleMania 31 last year.
When asked about engaging in contract talks, Vince McMahon's daughter said, "I'm certainly going to try."
Rousey is a lifelong WWE fan, and she said Tuesday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (h/t Damon Martin of FoxSports.com) that her UFC 207 clash with Amanda Nunes will be one of her last fights, which further fuels speculation regarding a jump to professional wrestling.
There is little doubt that Rousey would be deserving of a main event slot in WWE, and after praising the job done by The Boss and The Queen at Hell in a Cell, McMahon suggested it is a matter of time before women are in the main event of WrestleMania: "That would be the goal, to have the women main-event at WrestleMania at some point in time whether that's five years from now, 10 years from now; I think they're going to make it happen."
Rousey broke through the proverbial glass ceiling in combat sports by becoming a main attraction in the UFC, and WWE has followed suit in many respects.
Merging Rousey with the fast-rising popularity of women's wrestling could be big business for WWE, so one can only assume the McMahons will continue watching her closely and be ready to pounce if she expresses an interest in a WWE run.
